AERCON Florida - Masonry Construction Estimator/Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

 Perform take-off (materials and labor) on the various building projects based on drawings/info provided (materials and labor) assuming AAC material is incorporated as requested by sales rep and/or results of engineering review.Use MS EXCEL-based quoting tools to formulate appropriate quotations for the sales team.Respond to sales requests and perform project review (from engineering and constructability perspectives) for potential application (i.e. walls, floors, roof) of AAC concrete components (panels and/or block) for the project:Perform some engineering analysis to determine appropriate AAC product parameters based on loading conditions provided and appropriate assumptions.Write a brief summary to document the review finding for communication of such to sales team and customer (owner/architect/engineers/contractors).Interact with Sales team members and/or customers (via phone or in person) to facilitate professional response to quotation needs in a timely manner.Work with AERCON Construction Team to formulate and keep current the appropriate information to insure accurate, competitive and profitable labor estimates.Use knowledge to assist sales team in closing new sales opportunities for AERCON products.

 

Specific Requirements

 5 years masonry construction estimating experience (materials and labor) - field experience a PLUS.Civil Engineering (BS or Technology) degree a PLUS - masonry structural design/concrete structural design knowledge preferred.Microsoft Office proficiency in EXCEL and WORD, as well as Outlook e-mail.Good work ethic and interpersonal skills.  Ability to work independently and communicate with sales team and customers as needed to meet deadlines.

 

Office / plant located in Orlando area.  Salary commensurate with experience.
