Area Manager

SUMMARY

Area Manager responsible  for the Globe Operations and all functions of the aggregates, concrete, and asphalt businesses.  This individual will be responsible for safety, sales/revenue, production, delivery, maintenance, customer service, asset management and sustained profitability.

 RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain a safe working environment and safe working practices in all plant operations and ensure all safety notification and reporting processes are in place.Promote and develop teamwork within all levels of the organization.Develop total market awareness and seek growth and expansion opportunities.Develop action plans and measures to meet and/or exceed economic profit requirements.Manage working capital to meet business requirements.Manage personnel issues to include hiring, training, development, discipline and termination.Manage, develop and administer a thorough, effective capital expenditure and asset maintenance process for operations.Maintain product quality above industry standards,Manage product scheduling and customer service functions to meet and exceed our customers? needs.Ensure daily, weekly and monthly data input is accomplished.Work ethically, practice good business judgment and conform to all state/federal/local laws as well as follow and enforce all company guidelines/policies.Other as required to meet performance and safety requirements. QUALIFICATIONSCollege degree in business or engineering preferred.  Minimum 5 years previous industry related experience, preferably in ready mix or aggregate operation, with the majority of time spent in a management role.Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.Strong computer skills using Microsoft applications.  SAP knowledge preferred.Must be organized, dedicated and possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
