DIVERSIFICATION  Unlike other companies in the industry, CMC doesn?t just manufacture steel, with fortunes rising or falling based on one segment.  We also manufacture copper tubing; we process ferrous and nonferrous scrap; we have diversified geographically, operating the second largest steel producing plant in Poland; we operate many fabrication plants, construction-related product warehouses, and a heat treating plant in the U.S.; and we globally market, distribute and process primary and secondary metals and other related raw materials and products through a global network of marketing and distribution offices, processing facilities and other joint ventures.

Recycling

The Recycling segment, which operates as the CMC Recycling Division, is one of the country?s largest processors of nonferrous scrap metals and one of the largest regional processors of ferrous scrap metals in the U.S.  Nonferrous scrap processing capacity is 530,000 tons; ferrous scrap processing capacity is 3.0 million tons.

We conduct our recycling operations through metal processing plants located in the states of Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

 

We currently have an ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER position available in Tampa, Florida.

 

The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for assisting the branch manager in the daily management of the business.  The emphasis will be on Marketing and trading of the commodities handled by the business. More specifically, managing the marketing function and providing direction to the buyers and staff.  In the absence of the branch manager the assistant will step in to assume the leadership of the branch.

 

Must Possess:

 Financial Aptitude - demonstrate an understanding of accounting principles

Marketing - understands and can implement marketing strategies in purchases and sales

Operations - does not need a technical background in maintenance but does need a mechanical understanding.

Understands the operations of a scrap/recycling yard.

Great leadership and people skills

Proactive attitude

Delegation skills

Must be able to negotiate contracts and bids
