Assistant Construction Project Manager

 

We are conducting a search for a assistant construction project manager who has experience in managing construction projects from inception to completion where the focus is on developing, maintaining and growing client relationships.

 

Reporting to the Vice President of Construction Operations, this position will be responsible for:  

preconstruction planning supporting construction/design project manager?s, creating change orders, purchase orders, subcontracts, estimating, purchasing, etc.assisting in the estimate subcontractor selection and buy outschedulingimplementation and administration of all phases of the projectproject close-out

 

Working with the PM and field superintendent, they must ensure that project objectives are accomplished within, or better than, prescribed schedules and job cost parameters. 

 

It has been our experience that candidates who have a B.S. degree in civil engineering/construction management are most successful.  We are looking for a candidate with 3 to 5 years experience.

 

Project sizes range from $5 million to $10 million in the following markets:

 commercial/industrial scholasticelder caremilitary

 

In addition, a thorough knowledge of construction related computer software to include MS Project, Timberline estimating, and Prolog is preferred.

 

Because maintaining client relationships are so important to us, you should have excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage complex projects.
