Assistant Project Manager

E C Company, a diversified, multi-division organization and one of the country's largest electrical contracting firms, has a full-time position available at our Auburn, WA office for an Assistant Project Manager. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide a high level of coordination support in a variety of areas, partnering with construction project management and field staff.



Duties and Responsibilities:

v Assist in job start-up and close-out

v Creating submittals and manuals

v Assist in a full range of construction project management duties such as producing RFI?s, creating change orders, placing material orders, attending site meetings, documenting construction progress and maintaining schedules (may require travel)

v Spreadsheet projects

v Assist field supervision with project coordination (may require travel)

v Manage document controls

v Represent Company/Project in meetings with Client, Contractors, etc. as required

v Traveling to jobsites in Washington and Oregon (short durations) to attend project meetings

v Providing general support to Project and Division Managers

 

Experience and Skills:

v One or more years of experience in construction industry, preferably electrical construction

v Read and understand specifications and drawings

v Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)

v Proficiency at the intermediate level in MS Word and Excel

v A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

v Proficiency in using scheduling software

v Ability to prioritize and organize workload

v Handle multiple tasks to successful and on-time completion

v Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

 

Desirable Experience and Skills: v Degree in Construction Management or related fieldv Skills in Estimating and take-offs
