Assistant Project Manager or Engineer

Sweetwater Construction Corporation is a mid-sized General Contracting/Construction Management firm located in Cranbury, NJ, building for corporations and institutions in Central and Northern New Jersey. We specialize in a variety of segments, with renovations to new buildings, and value the diversity of our clients.

 

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager or Engineer with experience.  He/she will have assist with quality, cost and schedule control for projects up to $15mm.

 

The key responsibilities for this position include assisting the Project Manager to:


Manage construction projects and associated staff




Interface with Owner and/or Owner?s Representative on budget, schedule, and critical project issues




Develop and maintain subcontractor interest in the projects




Follow project budgets




Interface with local building department, obtain necessary permits and coordinate project close out with building and engineering officials




Manage construction scheduling, long lead items, and critical paths








Review jobsite progress, maintaining quality, conformance to drawings, and sub-contractor staffing levels




Manage scope changes, design reviews, subcontractor requisitions, purchase orders and applications for payment





 





The preferred candidate should:


have at least 1+ years experience in Construction Project Management with a construction related degree,




be proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office. (Prolog experience a plus),




and be a resident of New Jersey or Eastern Pennsylvania.
