CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Golfsmith has an opportunity for a CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER at our Support Center in Austin, Texas.

 

Responsibilities:Manage the design and construction of new Golfsmith stores across the country.Supervise architectural development of construction plansField manage and verify physical location of specific plan attributes (walls, electrical outlets)Supervise and manage general construction by Landlord?s contractor or Golfsmith General Contractor per lease requirementsOrder owner supplied materials necessary for store build outHire and supervise contractors to complete leasehold improvements such as: flooring installation, fixture installation and any other work not provided by LandlordSupervise and control activities for any remodels to existing locations including all construction and fixturingResponsible for adhering to budget and meeting scheduling targetsEnsure timely permitting for all phases of construction and signage

 

Specific Tasks:Interface with Landlord representative on all construction mattersSupervise outside architect and/or engineering work related to projectHire and supervise general contractorsOversee fixture installationOrder and supervise exterior signage installationCoordinate with Visual Team and Store Operations for graphics installationVerify budget complianceIssue, verify and complete all construction punch-listsInterface with Store Operations for store turnover for product merchandisingComplete field survey prior to construction on existing buildingsComplete all special projects as assignedWork with Landlord, architects and Real Estate Department to ensure timely permitting for all phases of construction and signageTravel required
