Civil Superintendent

Our client is a 25 year old general contractor with offices throughout California and Utah, and currently serves the federal government in general, civil, and environmental construction, both civil and vertical.

They have an immediate need for an experienced PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT with HEAVY CIVIL AND GENERAL CONSTRUCTION BACKGROUND and a proven track record of performance with these and other federal agencies.

 

Our ideal Construction Project Superintendent will want to work from our project locations throughout California and Arizona and will be responsible for ?

 Reading, review and understanding of project plans and specs Direct supervision of construction crews, (both in-house and sub trades) including all phases of scheduling, monitoring and facilitating inspections by required agencies. Identifying sub contractors, solicit bids, review bids to ensure compliance with applicable building codes etc. Administration of project safety program in compliance with Cal OSHA. Maintain MSDS. Creating, design and management of a tight C.P.M. schedule Scheduling and attending weekly meetings (safety, project, etc.), with Clients and
Subcontractors Generating daily reports, 3 week look ahead schedules, R.F.I. and C.O.P?s Cost tracking and other project documentation as required to meet corporate needs: including file maintenance (physical and computer), and correspondence. Identifying construction management system improvements. Reviewing all invoices involving construction jobs and authorize for payment where appropriate as relating to company chart of accounts. Follow up on completed jobs for problem solving as needed. Performing other job-related responsibilities as may be assigned by executive management. Putting your 5+ years of general construction experience to work each and every day!

Superior communication skills with complete computer literacy

Prior and positive experience with our federal customers

A sincere desire to make a positive difference and be rewarded for it

Degree in construction management or civil engineering and 5 years direct experience

Demonstrated track record of completing projects on schedule and within budget

Organizational and decision making/problem solving skills


And it would be incredibly great if you?

Have mastered P3, RS Means, American Contractor, or any other top notch construction industry software and possess a current US Army Corps of Engineers QC Certification.
