Concentrator Repairman

Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

-Remove, install, align, repair and maintain ball mills, classifiers, flotation equipment, pumps, motors, filters, thickeners and gearboxes
-Troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic equipment
-Work shift work, overtime and call-outs
-Coordinate and complete work with minimum supervision
-Wear a respirator
-Work at elevations requiring tie-off
-Work around water and slurry and adverse weather conditions
-Occasionally lift up to 50lbs

Minimum Requirements:

-Must be eligible for transfer based on Guiding Principles
-2-4 years mechanical maintenance experience
-Ability to operate forklifts and mobile cranes
-Ability to read and understand schematics and prints
-LOTO/Energy control trained
-SOAR training or equivalent
-Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

-Previous Concentrator maintenance/repair experience
-Basic knowledge of lubricants used in mechanical applications
-Trained in or knowledge of Laser Alignment Equipment
-Knowledge of hoisting and rigging
-Welding/cutting skills
-Working knowledge and use of maintenance manuals
-Good working knowledge of shop equipment and hand tools
