This company is located in a coastal environment and they are expanding their markets north and south of their immediate location. This company aggressively pursues a broad base of project types including commercial office, corporate office, hospitals, healthcare, educational, condominium, and warehouse/distribution projects.

 

Position Profile:

As an estimator with this company you will work in both the pre-construction and estimating groups however the main focus of your work will be assisting the Sr Management and the Business Development group in developing budgets, assessing opportunities for value engineering, establishing and defining scopes of work for projects that the company hopes to capture and bring inhouse.

Expected Experience:

Qualified candidates will have the majority of the following experience:

- 5+ years construction experience in General Commercial Estimating

- 2+ years involved in pre-construction support

- good at conceptual estimating but willing to perform quantity take offs if needed

- some experience with self perform estimating

- good presentation skills

- able to demonstrate the initiative to search out the most reasonable cost

- able to demonstrate solid organizational and management skills

- able to demonstrate pricing the is win-win based
- stable employment background and work history

- favorable reports from recent and past ?peer group? or direct senior management references
- able to coordinate multiple projects on bid day
- experience with estimating software like MC2 or Timberline

- Willingness to work in team environment and be mentored


Compensation Expectations

Base salary, bonus plan, vehicle expenses, company benefits company paid relocation.
