Construction Manager - CMS

Description:
Responsibilities include providing Construction and Project Management support for the planning and construction of building facilities and water related projects located within Boise area and the State of Idaho.

May plan and lead projects from initial design concepts through construction and commissioning. Tasks include the conceptual planning and scheduling of projects, preparing Requests for Proposals, establishing conceptual project budgets, and supervising and directing office engineering and field staff through the planning, design and construction phases. Conduct meetings with Engineer and/or Contractor to discuss project status, including cost, schedule, and coordination issues. Lead and coordinate issue resolution and change management processes.

May be responsible for planning and scheduling onsite staff, including surveyors and testing laboratories as necessary. May negotiate and resolve Change Order Requests and Request For Quotations on behalf of the Owner. Inform all parties of clarifications and interpretations required for proper execution of the contract.

Will interface with the internal business groups to identify and track upcoming construction management opportunities. Will visit with clients to position for upcoming work and assist in business development activities, including preparation of proposals, interviews, and project contracting and setup. Will assist and provide input to strategic staffing activities within the Boise area and the NW region.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED: 10 years minimum of construction experience as a Construction Manager. Experience in positioning for and winning CM work with municipal and governmental clients.
Experience with MSOffice.

Drug test and background check required.

PREFERRED: B.S. Civil Engineering or other construction-related degree. P.E., Certified Construction Manager (CCM) 5 to 10 year's construction experience working for a General Contractor. Experience with Primaver and MSProject.
