Construction Manager, Electronics Systems

SimplexGrinnell is a global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of a comprehensive array of networked and integrated fire alarm and suppression, security, and communications systems.  Our continued success and growth has produced a need for an Electronic Construction Manager position in our Santa Rosa, CA location. 

Job Description:

The primary function of this position is to manage the Alarm & Detection field work force and the installation of SimplexGrinnell equipment at customer sites on schedule, and in a cost-effective, professional manner, while at the same time promoting the overall installation capabilities and products of SimplexGrinnell.

 

Responsibilities:

.Manage the Electronic field work force.

.Exercise good customer relations skills by dealing with customer problems calmly and effectively, minimizing the number and degree of complaints.

.Carry and move equipment and tools weighting up to 40 pounds.  Supervise the installation technical representatives that  will work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces above ceilings, etc.  Must comply with safety guidelines at all times.

.Read and interpret complex blueprints, diagrams, schematics, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, operational/product manuals in order to understand the requirements to properly service, inspect or install equipment.

.Supervise the installation technical representatives who use a variety of hand and power tools to install all required boxes, wiring, panels, digital dialers, devices, and other fire, sound, or security peripheral equipment as directed and/or specified.  Provide sales leads for Preventative Maintenance Agreements, equipment, peripheral devices, overhauls where appropriate.

.Complete reports, such as mileage and monthly vehicle reports.

.Be responsible for completing projects on time, facilitating issues to expedite projects, and working in a manner that will exceed customer expectations.
