Construction Materials Quality Control Technician

Rinker Materials one of the largest producers of heavy building Materials in the United States with its principal operations in Florida and Arizona and additional operations in 29 states.  The Everett Region in Washington State is seeking a Construction Materials Quality Control Technician to provide quality assurance testing for aggregates, ready mix concrete and asphalt.
This position involves working in the field with state, county and city municipalities as well as internal customers.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Record test information into a database and verify data for compliance with DOT specifications. Troubleshoot technical problems related to aggregate production, asphalt products and ready-mix concrete. Problem solving under pressure to provide solutions. Maintain current knowledge of standardized testing procedures, i.e., AASHTO, ASTM & WSDOT testing methods.

QUALIFICATIONS
Good organizational skills, analytical ability, written and verbal communication skills.
Must be self-motivated and able to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision in a timely manner.
Ability to relate to all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word)
Must be able to pick up and carrying samples weighing 75+ pounds.
Ability to work all shifts.
Valid drivers license.
Past work experience must demonstrate responsibility and dependability as an employee.
This position reports to the Manager of Technical Services.
