Construction Materials Testing Manager

CMT Project Manager
This position involves sophisticated testing and observation duties, requires in-depth technical knowledge of construction materials testing and observation. Engineers with Bachelors in Civil or Materials Engineering are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will manage materials testing (CMT) projects, write proposals, schedule technicians, review field reports and sign and oversee budgets. The CMT Manager will also prepare invoices, maintain client contact and market CMT services. Occasional duties will include special inspections, such as footing observation and reinforcing bar observation.


Certification in NICET Level III or IV or ASNT Level II certification is desirable but not required.


Must hold a BS from an accredited engineering college in civil/geotechnical/or materials engineering.

 
PE preferred.

 
Must have ability to write geotechnical drill reports and oversee drilling and logging of soil borings.
Must be physically able to travel to various job sites.
Must have food communication and people skills
