Epstein and Sons International, Inc. is an established and well respected 85 year old Architecture, Engineering and Construction firm.  Our beautiful corporate office is located in Chicago?s West Loop, convenient to transportation.  Our Construction Management division is seeking a Construction Superintendent to support our growing operations.  This position functions to review and consult on design and perform all management functions for the successful completion of construction projects within established time and budget goals and to the complete satisfaction of the client. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent for a General Contractor or Construction Manager.  A Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.  Experience in commercial and industrial projects including warehouse/distribution, manufacturing plants and office space is a plus.  All candidates must be willing to travel for 6-18 month project assignments.  First project will be in Booneville, Mississippi.  Ideal candidates will have understanding of Total Quality Management principals, general engineering principals and construction techniques, including basic scheduling and estimating.  The candidate must have a strong work ethic, a relentless drive to fulfill commitments, and tremendous enthusiasm. 

 General Responsibilities

? Maintain and enhance client relationships

? Support and coordinate interface between design and field construction, as well as subconsultants.

? Review and coordinate with engineering disciplines during drawing development phase.

? Assure construction schedules are maintained by field contractors

? Maintain quality control by inspection of work in projects and completed projects.

? Maintain construction safety an administers OSHA compliance program

? Conduct weekly site contractor coordination meetings

? Maintain and update project construction schedule

? Coordinate prime subcontractors activities

? Review progress payment requests to insure that work in-place matches payment and submits to Construction Manager

? Assist Construction Manager in required equipment and material expediting

? Review requests for extra work by contractors and submits to Construction Manager

? Write required field documentation and reports (daily and weekly reporting)
