Construction Superintendent

Our client is a Seattle based General Contractor with more than twenty years of experience constructing commercial, municipal, industrial and multi-family facilities through out the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. They have recently been awarded two contracts to construct multi-family housing of a "Stick and Brick" nature for the government in Alaska (Fairbanks and Anchorage).


As a result, they have asked us to recruit a Construction Superintendent to be located in Fairbanks. The ideal candidate will have more than twelve years of experience constructing projects with at least three years in Alaska and at least three years at the Construction Superintendent level.


Reporting to the company's resident Project Manager, you will be responsible for a local work force that will construct 100 multi family units (two to four bedroom townhouse type facilities) at military facilities just outside of Fairbanks. Project duration is expected to run two to three years under phase I and two years under phase II.  The local workforce includes all trades, a Safety and Health Specialist and a Quality Assurance Manager. Experience working in a Government contract environment with interface with Contracting Officer's Representatives (COR's) is a huge plus. Prior employment in Alaska is desirable.


Interviews will start with a telephone interview from the corporate office in Seattle, followed with one or two face to face interviews either in Seattle or Fairbanks.


Compensation is based upon background and experience and the firm offers an excellent benefit package as well. This is a full time employee status (FTE) with a 40 hour work week. Candidates residing in Alaska will be given first preference.
