Contruction Materials Engineer

We are currently looking for Construction Material Engineers for numerous offices within our organization. 

 



Position Summary

The right person understands all phases of Construction Material Testing (CMT)projects. Must market services to new and existing clients and is responsible for the P&L. with a successful track record of strong initiative, independent action, and decision making. He/she will be a team player/builder with experience managing projects and technical personnel.  Supervision of field exploration crews and laboratory testing, and preparation of CMT engineering reports.

 



Some of the position duties:

~ Manage phases of CMT services for major development/construction projects

~ Supervise and mentor staff engineers and technicians

~ Train staff in basic engineering procedures and techniques

~ Prepare and present proposals, scopes of work and budgets for new projects

~ Prepare and/or review technical reports

~ Interpret laboratory test data for use in engineering analyses

~ Supervise engineering analyses for foundation design, slope stability and seismic hazards

~ Review grading and foundation plans for conformance with recommendations

~ Develop and maintain an active client base

 

What we are looking for in the qualified candidate:

~ Masters or a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Geology with construction material Testing and/or geotechnical experience. 

~ 4+ years of experience in managing public works, commercial, residential land development and construction projects.

~ Strong organization, marketing and written/oral communication skills
