CREW LEADER

 

Great American Sweeping the nation's premiere commercial, construction, and municipality sweeping and erosion control company is looking for a Crew Leader.

 

Crew Leaders are responsible for the day to day output and quality of a BMP Installation Crew.  Successful Crew Leaders will set the example for quality, safety and output for their crew.  They are responsible for the performance and development of their team members.

 

KEY TASKS:

*Lead team of two to four laborers/installers

*Assign tasks to crew members

*Ensures that quality of every job their team performs is excellent

*Ensures the safety of the crew

*Complete reports for tracking field operations and billing information

*Communicate with clients, update progress, clarify changes and promote good outcomes

*Communicate with other Crew Leaders and other managers to achieve improvements in processes and outcomes

*Performs other duties as assigned

 

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

*Able to perform all physical requirements of laborers/installers (able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and uses a pick or shovel up to two hours continuously,

works outdoors in all weather conditions

*Understands or able to learn proper BMP design and installation procedures

(Installation of straw bales, silt fences, erosion control blankets, curb socks etc?)

*Uses effective judgment benefiting the client, the company and the team

*Creatively overcomes obstacles and committed to outstanding results

*Excels in training and developing installers

*Effective communicator, coach and leader

*Organized and thorough with documentation and managing work processes

*Strong map reading skills for street maps and engineered drawings
