ESTIMATOR / NATIONAL LARGE WOOD FRAMING PROJECTS / NEW CONSTRUCTION 75,000 TO 500,000 SQ. FT.

ESTIMATOR

Our organization has been doing business throughout the United States for more than 20 years.  We need an experienced estimator with verifiable ability to estimate projects in a manner which meets corporate objectives and profit margins. 

 

Our scope of work includes labor for "DIVISION 6100" wood framing construction, erection of roof and floor systems, walls and sheathing.  Framing includes projects such as: Assisted Living, Hotels, Dormitories, Multi-Family and Rehab. Projects range from 75,000 Sq. Ft. to over 500,000 Sq. Ft. and span the continental USA.

Must have experience estimating traditional stick framing and pre-fabricated wall panel systems.  Estimate and cost new projects through interpretation of blueprints and accurate take-offs.  Control costs by finding least cost/best value vendors, suppliers, and materials prices.  Provide accurate reporting on margins to management.  Continually refine the systems and procedures to improve quality and control costs.

 

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

 

1.  Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

 

2.  Create accurate quantity take-offs and labor estimates.

 

3.Occasionally travel to client offices, job sites and report findings.

 

4. Establish and maintain cost reduction programs within the purchasing department and with trade partners.

 

5.  Interpret and implement building code changes.

 

6.  Operate computerized estimating system.

 

7. Work with plans to assure consistencies between projects and products.

 

8. Update, communicate, and verify any hard cost changes  due to cost increases and quantity changes to Operations Manager.

 

9. Understand the overall building process, terms, techniques, and procedures.

 

10. Establish and maintain a written procedure for all bidding and contracts.

 

Our office is West of Down Town Fort Worth.

 

Hours Monday - Thursday 8:00 to 3:30.

Friday 8:00 to noon.
