Electrical - Operations Manager Excellent Fast Track Career Path!

Your company is an established, financially stable, full service electrical contractor continuing to grow in the Wichita market!

 

 IMPORTANT! This position is will directly lead you to full Branch / General Manager role over a 3 year period. You?ll immediately learn the production side of the business in the first year, administration in year two, and sales the third year. You?ll be supported by the current General Manager for one to two years after assuming total responsibility during management transition period.


 Your initial primary role and responsibilities an Operations Manager is to grow a service and small projects team, including a truck fleet, to meet the expectations of your clients. You?ll develop and work with a management and sales team. You?ll develop relationships with customers and your staff to deliver high quality service and responsiveness to needs.

You?ll provide hands on leadership, hire, schedule and develop key staff to continue growth of this multi-million dollar location. You?ll be expected to plan short term and long term goals for the operation. 


The qualifications, skills and experience applicants must include 2-5 years or more of successful Branch, Department, Service or Operations Management experience in the electrical industry in the greater Wichita area or markets in close proximity. 5 or more years as a journeyman electrician in the area highly desired.

 

You must possess the ability to handle responsibility in the areas of operations, purchasing, approving of bills, approving work orders, stewardship, credit and collections, bidding jobs and company finances. If you have had bottom line responsibility, profit and loss, in your experience, tell us about your success!

 

The education, experience and certifications you?ll need to be successful include a minimum of an Associates degree, Bachelors in Construction Management, BSEE and related field experience desired. Equivalent education, significant field and management experience may be acceptable.

 

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Accubid preferred or other estimating, project management software required. You must have a thorough knowledge of electrical code and hold a Contractor/Journeyman?s license in Kansas. Experience in commercial, industrial, heavy industrial, high rise multi-family, retail, restaurant, institutional, healthcare, low-voltage and other electrical work required. Experience in hard bid, design build, design assist, T/M ground up and tenant improvement highly desired.


NOTE: Future Branch and General Manager Responsibilities will include hands on supervision in all operations (Branch Accounting, Sales, Service, Project Management, Information Systems)
