Engineer - Residential Technical Scope of Work Writer

CMA Consulting is a leader in the industry of Construction Management of Multi-Family Residential Reconstruction within the common interest development industry. We are currently searching for a Professional Civil and/or Structural Engineers to write technical preconstruction scope of repair and scope of work for our residential reconstruction projects.

This position will provide professional engineering expertise in the review and creation of assigned project preconstruction documents. Assist in solving code related problems with recommendations for repair. Develop detailed construction drawings and requirements with CAD personnel, when applicable. Develop and maintain current specification database. Work with existing construction management systems and standards prepare methodology, procedures for construction designs that allow accurate estimating of reconstruction projects. Maintain and manage the creation of specifications for construction management reconstruction projects. Research building products for reconstruction projects. Perform field inspections when required on specific projects. Attend and assist with pre-construction bid walks with project manager. Attend scheduled meetings with project manager a client. Attend construction management department meetings. Must meet projected scheduled timelines and deadlines on each project.

Competitive candidates will possess the required certifications and licenses upon hire, valid driver?s license, extensive knowledge of construction building codes and product research, regulatory requirements in order to interpret current regulations and advice and guide clients regarding project specific specifications. High level of expertise in writing and editing, developing and maintaining uniform writing style and format standards and organizing material. Knowledge of trade associations, their role in construction industry, and how they relate to various design and construction disciplines. Familiarity with trade association literature as a means of maintaining knowledge of latest construction practices.
