Objective:

To provide primary oversight on assigned field operations with an emphasis in equipment experience in a manner consistent with Company policies and procedures.

Essential
Functions: Overall responsibility for equipment on the project. Oversee and manage all equipment repairs and maintenance. Oversee and manage mechanics and oil/lube/fuel personnel and equipment. Develop and retain equipment personnel through training, motivation, coaching, and mentoring. Oversee equipment daily inspection reports. Prioritize and coordinate minor equipment repairs. Prioritize and coordinate major equipment repairs with oversight and approval by senior equipment management. Coordinate and supervise rental equipment and agreements. Manage parts purchases/receivers/invoices. Supervise haul truck drivers. Maintain monthly equipment list (deliveries, scheduled departures, and actual departures) including rentals. Coordination and scheduling of equipment moves. Document condition of equipment in and out. Manage and confirm pricing of outside repairs. Ensure equipment is checked before shift, during lunch, and after shift. Coordinate fuel deliveries, manage pricing. Attend daily game plan meeting. Attend and participate in safety meetings and safety program. Recommend equipment purchases and rentals. Review weekly and monthly equipment cost reports. Communicate with project manager and field personnel in order to affect positive change based on trends. Oversee and manage equipment vendors. Insure that construction equipment is clean and presents positive appearance to the owner and the public. Assist in preparation of yearly equipment budget (purchases, sales, condition reports, and scheduled need). Perform additional assignments as needed.


Required
Education: High School/GED required. Additional education is desirable.

Required
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in all phases heavy construction equipment maintenance, acquisition and operations.

This position will require you to move from project to project.  In the regions you move every 2-3 years.  There is a high travel position in which you can be based anywhere as long as you are near an airport. Pay depends on location and experience but the average is between 60 to 100k.
