About the Company We are an restoration general contractor specializing in the repair of commercial and residential properties. We provide immediate emergency repair services followed by comprehensive total reconstruction of the damage caused by water, fire, smoke, wind or vandalism. Insurance companies handling homeowner's and commercial property losses refer the majority of our projects. We are part of a large national network and are the Southern Office of nine independently managed offices in New Jersey. We cover projects in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Cumberland, Atlantic and Cape May Counties from our offices near Mt Laurel. And will open a seasonal office in Cape May County in 2007. About the Opportunity About the Opportunity Do you have experience in construction and personal computers? * Are you in the top ten percentile in detail management & project management? * Do you have a very high energy approach to completing projects? We have a Project Management/Estimating Associate position open in Mt Laurel, a position with significant growth and financial reward opportunity. We seek high-energy individuals with PC and construction experience. Successful candidates will be able to estimate efficiently and show excellent attention to detail while multitasking on a dozen or more projects. Responsibilities include: * Responding to the property damage locations and preparing a detailed and specific estimate using the Xactimate tool (in the office). * Submitting the estimate to the adjuster and owner and proposing budgets, approaches and schedules. * Managing the project and tradesman and subs to a swift and accurate completion-on budget. maintaining excellent communication with the property owner. * Project revenues range from $3000 to $130,000. A Manager/Associate typically have 20 projects in progress at once. The average duration of smaller projects is 2-6 weeks and major projects six to nine months. Compensation is paid on estimating (35% of total) and project management (55%) with the balance (20%) achieved by bringing projects in under budget or on budget. A benefits plan, auto allowance, and company vehicle plan are available. The successful candidate will possess: * Some knowledge of residential and commercial construction and materials * A working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft programs and ideally, the Xactimate construction estimating software. * A fascination with detail and commitment to punctuality and promptness. * The ability to manage 15-28 projects simultaneously. * An urgency to complete projects, and a drive to succeed. * A High School Diploma is required; college courses or technical training are preferred. Outstanding time management and people skills are an absolute requirement.
