We are looking for an Intermediate level Electrical Estimator to join the team in our Houston office.  This is not a hard bid estimating role but a conceptual position which requires detailed knowledge of past projects in order to provide budgeting based on preliminary design documents. 

 

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a professional attitude and a strong commercial awareness, able to deal directly and communicate effectively with clients and other Faithful+Gould staff both verbally and in writing. 

You will possess a degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management and will have a minimum of 5 years of Estimating experience on small to medium commercial or industrial construction projects. 

Quantity takeoff ability is required as well as developing and maintaining a database of costs from past projects and from industry sources

You will also possess:
Experience with all high and low voltage systems, as well as general knowledge of costs throughout the Texas marketplace.
Knowledge and contacts within the marketplace in order to obtain supplier pricing input.
Excellent project and time management skills
Ability to deal successfully with various personalities and all levels of management
Thorough knowledge of available resources both external and internal

 

Responsibilities:

You will prepare cost estimates to support investment decisions at any phase of a project?s life: budgeting and planning through design and implementation.

You will produce or validate estimates for virtually every type of:
Project: Evaluating new construction, additions, refurbishments.
Facility: Experience across a diverse range of sectors and industries.
Client: Advising owners, architectural and engineering firms and construction managers on cost issues.
