Estimator, Project Manager and Production Manager

A respected Structural Steel company is currently seeking an Estimator, Project Manager and a Production Manager.

 

The Sr. Estimator will be responsible for the following:
Review specifications and design drawings for estimating assigned project.

 
Also review specifications and design drawings to determine compliance and applicability.

 
Contact the required vendors, erectors and material suppliers to secure pricing for the desired projects.

 
Generate the overall scope of work, erection summary, misc/ornamental scope, vendor/supplier scope, estimating checklist plus any other cost factors affecting the work.

 
Contact customers for required information and review overall scope of work of the project, if required.

 
Provide an accurate material and labor take-off from design drawings for bidding purposes to our customers.

 
Provide an estimate cost summary to management to evaluate cost/profit before bidding project.

 
Schedule meeting for kick off of sold projects and provide kick off notes and job folders to everyone required for sold projects.

 

The Project Manager will be responsible for the following:
Manage structural steel fabrication, steel erection, and the coordination of joist, metal decking, and various miscellaneous metals
Work closely with and coordinate the flow of information between various organizations, including customers (architects, structural engineers, owner, and general contractors) and project team members (purchasing, fabrication and subcontractors) to maintain the project schedule and customer satisfaction
The ability to make decisions and resolve problems as they arise
Issue timely invoices to customers as well as approving invoices from subcontractors
Able to manage several projects and handle multiple issues within a limited timeframe

 

The Production Manager will be responsible for the following:

Manage all facets of Shop production: people, machinery/equipment, scheduling, budgeting, safety, and quality. Position requires ability to manager 200,000 SF plant and 100+ employees.

 

Requirements include for each:
10-15 years experience in management of civil/structural engineering or related area
Must have a two-year degree in civil/structural engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent work experience
Experience in managing structural steel fabrication
Computer skills with experience using M/S Outlook, Word, Excel, Steel 2000 applications
Strong communication skills; able to adapt to company procedures and standards; able to plan and organize work
