Facilities Project Manager

Facilities Project Manager 

 Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

 

 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 

? Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.

? Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of the project, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.

? Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.

? Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

? Will review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.

? Prepare project reports for management, client, and others.

? Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

? Coordinate project activities of government regulatory and other governmental agencies.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ARE:

 

? 5-7 years in construction project management.

? Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints.

? Computer skills related to construction project management (i.e. MS project, Excel, AutoCAD)

? Ability to manage multiple contractors and trades people.

? Substantial experience with concrete and steel.

? Clear understanding and experience with HVAC systems.

? Substantial understanding of electrical plans, drawings and their implementation.

? Ability to think quickly, make decisions, and problem solve.

? Highly organized.
