Job Description: Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Facilities Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California.

Job Responsibilities:
Facilities Specialists are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and physical protection for Associates, visitors, assets, and proprietary information, and long-term secure operation of buildings, equipment, and support functions needed to operate the company's facilities. Develops, implements and/or maintains facilities/security policies, practices and procedures for location or on Corporate-wide basis. Functions may include building, security, and equipment maintenance & management; environmental engineering; physical safety & security including special event security, international travel security information, and security administration; security operations including command center & out front operations; food services; mail services; and PBX/telephone system administration. The responsibilities and scope may vary by location.

The Specialist provides expert technical direction to facility management. Typically certified or licensed in specific discipline, such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, refrigeration, or structural engineering. You may provide oversight of contractors working on facility sites. Conducts studies and presents findings to senior level management regarding maintenance, upgrades, or changes for facilities and related operations. Oversees projects in his/her specific discipline.

The role will be the primary (LEAD) support for a large healthcare facility located on campus in Los Angeles. Will interface with client, client facilities, 3rd party vendors and Data Center Staff. Role is responsible for floor space, planning, power, cabling, electrical, water, air conditioning, fire inspection, Fm200, UPS, Generator, water towers, and overall cleanliness of the Data Center.

Required Skills:

5-8 years of related experience

Management of vendors

VISIO - Design and floor space planning

Capacity Planning

Project Management

Halon/FM200 experience

Prior interactions with vendors such as Liebert / Facilities Protection / Simplex Grinnell

Fire & Smoke Detection experience

Raised floor load capacity

Heat density per square foot

PDU, Switch gear, Generator, UPS, etc.

Desired Skills:

Refrigeration knowledge and implementation

Structural engineering (Design and or building of a Data Center)

OSHPD - very helpful

Write and establish Data Center Policies and Procedures

Security - Equipment and facility security

Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials (one or more):

Electrical

Mechanical Engineering

Refrigeration

Structural

Power/Cabling (Fiber)
