Brandenburg Industrial Service Company, the #1 demolition contractor in the United States,  provides dismantling services, environmental remediation services, electrical and piping construction services and plant mapping to industrial customers, commercial developers and government agencies.  Founded in 1968, Brandenburg currently employs 600 people in the Eastern and Midwest United States.  Currently, Brandenburg is hiring several field engineers for its office located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

 

What is the position of field engineer at Brandenburg?  A ?hands-on? position that teaches you all of the skills and crafts that Brandenburg offers to its customers.  During your training you will work aside a laborer who was hired to perform the specific tasks which you will be taught. You will be trained how to prepare, identify and separate metals.  You will learn how to handle the various asbestos and environmental situations that Brandenburg is involved with when working for our customers.  You will be trained in the various techniques of demolition for different types of structures. 

 

Training period 

A definitive time period cannot be placed on this training.  The training period is complete when you prove to know all of the methods and procedures that Brandenburg uses in performing work for the customer.  Generally the training period will take anywhere from at one to two years, but it is definitely influenced by the employee?s ability to learn.

Opportunities

There is no doubt that the training program is hard work and not for everyone, but after completing the program you will have many opportunities at Brandenburg.  Some of these include:Project Manager ? Brandenburg Project Managers are in charge of the commercial aspects of multiple projects. Responsibilities include contract evaluation, change orders and subcontractor selection.Estimator - Brandenburg estimators go to the customers? sites and determine the cost of the work that the customer requests.  Responsibilities include evaluation of the project including scrap and salvage value and determining the scope and method of work.

 

Qualifications

Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor?s degree.
