Field Manager

Position: Field Manager - Trilogy at Glen Ivy
Location: Glen Ivy, Corona
Reports to: Construction Mgr.

 

Job Description

The function of this position is to manage, direct, and accept accountability for all field activities and reporting functions associated with the construction of assigned homes in the community.  The Field Manager provides leadership in and manages the coordination of all activities within the new home construction process, thus optimizing the effectiveness of TradePartners, ensuring compliance with SheaHomes customer satisfaction and quality assurance standards, and maintaining a safe work environment.

 

Specific Responsibilities

Key Result Area #1 Customer Satisfaction
?Establish and maintain regular and proactive communication with assigned customers and log all conversations
?Manages and resolves customer issues within a timely fashion and communicates progress on completion
?Delight the customer

Key Result Area #2 - Scheduling
?Update construction schedule every day for assigned homes
?Ensure home is next-Trade-ready
?Coordinate schedule with overall teams schedule on a daily basis
?Schedule work with TradePartners and suppliers with proper lead time, and confirm schedule the day prior to work being performed
?Maintain projected milestones and delivery date and communicate to community team on a weekly basis

Key Result Area #3 Quality Assurance
?Walk every room, every house, every day
?Complete milestone Quality Assurance inspections, document corrective actions, and follow-up to ensure completion of corrective items
?Deliver a defect-free home to the customer
 
Key Result Area #4 Options Management
?Update options tracking notebook and files daily
?Maintain an options posting system at each house
?Verify options when scheduling TradePartner
?Verify options selection with homebuyer at foundation walk and frame walk

Key Result Area #5 Safety and Site Management
?Understand and champion the SheaHomes for Active Adults safety program
?Conduct a daily site safety audit and correct all non-compliant activities and behaviors immediately
?Ensure all tailgate safety meetings occur and proper OSHA compliant documentation is in place
?Ensure Trades clean and sweep all homes at the end of each day
?Ensure each home site is left clean and free of debris
?Maintains Materials Safety Data Sheets in accordance with OSHA requirements
?Participate in monthly safety training program

Key Result Area #6 TradePartner Management
?Ensure complete knowledge of scope of work before building operation begins
?Complete field purchase order paperwork on same day non-contract work is ordered
?Review and approve invoices daily
?Develop and maintain positive relationships with government agencies and inspectors
?Communicate daily with TradePartner foreman on job site

Knowledge/Experience

?High school diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS degree preferred
?Two years experience as a Construction Superintendent/Field Manager required
?Proficiency in MS Office required
?Multi-lingual skills preferred
? "Multi-family" experience required
