JOB TITLE: Field Service Representative ?West Coast

 

REPORTS TO: Product Support Manager/Service Manager

 

LOCATION:  West Coast  

 SCHEDULE:  Days 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Field Service Representative provides technical support to customers in the field.  Geographical area of responsibility will include, but not limited to, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming. This person functions as a liaison between several functional groups to ensure good communication and focus on the customer.

 

Specific responsibilities include:Responds to telephone inquiries, troubleshooting problems and assisting equipment operators of mobile hydraulic equipment.Helping resolve technical issues quickly in the field whilst making recommendations for design correction or improvement.Documents and communicates procedure changes as needed to improve operational quality.Aids Sales with technical issues and demonstrations on machines as requested. Provide customer on- site technical support as required on mobile equipment.Pre-deliver and train newly assigned customers on machines upon request.Responsible to distribute and assure that Campaigns and Service Bulletin updates are distributed effectively to the customers.  Report back to factory the completion of the Campaigns and Service Bulletins effectively.Travel to customer?s locations, servicing and repairing operational problems with Terex products and assisting with training and customer relations.Communicates information on equipment problems or potential enhancements to other teams within the company.

? Perform Service Training on Loader Backhoes, Wheel Loaders, Mini-Excavators, Various Compaction Equipment and other equipment as required on location as requested.

? Distribute current service information from manufacturing facility to customers as need.  

 

Basic Qualifications:

? The successful candidate will have an Associates Degree (e.g.: vocational school) and 5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education, experience and factory sponsored training in the mobile equipment construction environment.

? Demonstrated working knowledge of the operational characteristics of construction equipment.

? Ability to communicate effectively with several areas in the company such as sales, engineering, service, parts, etc.

? Requires ability to read technical documentation and visual schematics both on electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

? Ability to identify and resolve operating problems or causes by diagnosing and identifying symptoms.

? Excellent problem solving skills.

? Excellent learning and training skills.

? Good Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic aptitude.

? Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

? Willingness to travel on short notice domestically and internationally.

? Familiar with laptops and Microsoft? Office programs to receive email, faxes and other communication tools.
