General Construction Estimator
Job Description
Fast pace and growing NYC Construction Firm looking for a Senior Estimator with a detailed understanding of budgeting, take-off and general estimating processes. Business is 80% interiors based and 20% base building/alteration projects.
Duties:
- Directly working with Managing Partner:
- Take-offs and prepare construction budgets,
- Due site walk through. Interfacing with Sub Contractor
- Obtains bids from vendors and sub contractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified sub contractor; and negotiating prices.
- Bid leveling and scope of evaluation
- Maintains cost keys and price master by updating information on Excel, project manager and other computer systems.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Skills/Qualifications:
- Work in computer-savvy environment.
