Health & Safety Manager

 Innovative Technical Solutions, Inc. (ITSI) is a national Engineering, Construction & Consulting firm based in Walnut Creek, California, (www.itsi.com) focusing on providing design-build infrastructure and environmental solutions for our clients. ITSI's clients include all branches of the Department of Defense in addition to municipal and commercial clients.

 

ITSI is seeking a Health and Safety Manager for their corporate headquarters located in Walnut Creek, California.We are looking for a individuals who thrive in a fast paced, busy environment and like a challenge.

 

Responsibilities include the following:

-  Developing and/or reviewing site Health & Safety Plans

-  Conducting jobsite audits and training

-  Managing safety programs for regional offices

-  Developing and ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements

-  Representing ITSI in meetings with clients, governmental agencies

-  Maintaining records of safety violations and subsequent actions

-  Managing and maintaining employee safety and compliance records

-  Managing insurance claims and EMR

-  Consulting to commercial & Government clients

 

Experience Requirements:

-  Must have current certification by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene in Comprehensive Practice (CIH). 

-  10 years experience including vertical, environmental and civil construction

-  Experience supervising health and safety staff including technicians

-  RAD experience plus

-  Strong verbal, written communications and computer skills

-  Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations

-  Ability to travel up to 25%.
