Summary: Under limited supervision, responsible for creating and maintaining construction documents and brochure artwork.

Responsibilities:

National responsibilities include: Observe field activities to identify potential problems and document specific issues. Provide technical assistance to Trade Partners, consultants and team members. Create and maintain brochure artwork. Address municipal code issues as required per community. Interpret and implement building code changes. Assist in the design of plans for new models and update existing models. Complete plan revisions resulting from field visits. Assist in data input/and maintenance for all models. Update plans due to feature and specification changes. Perform 3-D computer modeling in ArchiCAD. Design floor plan layout in AutoCAD/ArchiCAD from sketches. Meet with Trade Partners, as needed, to modify working drawings for ease of construction. 

Division specific responsibilities include: Create permit plat drawings for Land Engineers. Calculate quantity takeoffs for Purchasing. Submit permits to municipalities for approvals. Create site-specific drawings from base sets as required for permits. Check accuracy of release packages and sign off for approval. Assist Internal Operations Manager in scheduling releases and permits.

Experience and Skills:

 Bachelor?s Degree in Architecture, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Possess or in active pursuit of Architect license preferred Minimum 2 years experience in residential architecture/construction required Minimum 3 years professional experience with AutoCAD/ArchiCAD required Ability to visualize things on a three dimensional basis Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized and focused with shifting priorities in a very dynamic atmosphere Ability to meet deadlines and estimate timelines Must have basic residential construction knowledge including process and design guidelines
