Job Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
? Conducts on-site residential surveys relating to Property and Casualty insurance and related risk services inspections/claims/coverage as directed by Field Supervisor/Manager.
? Completes detailed reports accurately and in accordance with established procedures, and files such reports in a timely manner, as requested by manager and required by policy.
? Ability to consistently meet quotas and deadlines. More specifically, quality reporting, time service and professionalism per AFS standards.
? Ability to deal with AFS customers and internal administrative staff in a professional manner.
? Requires regular local travel (approximately 75% to 80% of time).
? Must be able to speak and write English proficiently in order to complete observation reports, comprehend customer requirements and communicate with homeowners.
Tools/Equipment Required for the Position:
Many Field Reporters in this position will work from a home office. A home computer, high-speed internet access and digital camera and a measuring device will be required equipment for the position.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Approximately 75% of day will be spent completing field surveys, which will require the following: Driving from site to site, walking on paved and grass/dirt surfaces of varying levels (in fair and inclement weather conditions), recording measurements with measuring wheel, taking pictures with digital camera and recording observations on paper forms. A small amount of lifting and carrying of a measuring wheel may be required. Maximum weight lifted is approximately 10 pounds.
Approximately 25% of day will be spent sitting at computer terminal, keyboarding report information into AFS web database.
