Work Location:  Initially based in Houston, Texas, with extensive travel outside of the USA required.

 

 

Summary

Responsible for the recruitment of qualified rig personnel for international drilling operations for both offshore and onshore rig fleets located in various countries around the world.  This position will have a concentration of efforts in the Western Hemisphere outside of the United States, particularly Latin America.

 

 Essential Job FunctionsSource and interact with qualified candidates from all countries. Ensure qualified candidates are hired to fill vacancies; cooperates with internal efforts to offer advancement to existing employees before bringing in new hires for vacated or new positions. Identify high-caliber candidates from inside and outside the drilling industry including the day to day use of job boards, resume databases, contacts, and referrals from company career page. Be able to investigate and lend new ideas for developing new sources of candidates from all domains and regions.  Work with Recruiting Manager and Field Operations Director to establish Latin America and recruitment strategy to provide qualified personnel from these regions to the company.Execute current full-cycle recruitment and placement programs for rig personnel; work with Recruiting Manager to develop additional programs as required.Complete interview assessments and offer strong hiring recommendations to enable filling of positions effectively and efficiently. Screen, evaluate and provide orientation of job requirements and company benefits for area of assignment. Extend employment offers. Ensure the compliance of physical, drug and alcohol, background check, and pre-employment training protocols for various international work locations. Maintain an active applicant flow tracking of candidates throughout the recruitment process using HRIS system and other databases as required.   Work with Recruiting Manager to ensure that new hire orientation program and hiring strategy is consistent with the Company?s policies, procedures, and business goals. Be able to travel to any international locations as needed to represent the company in a recruitment capacity.  Expected level of travel is quite substantial.

Secondary Job Functions On an as needed basis will help to process new hire and current employee documents. Performs other duties and special projects as requested by management.

Qualifications Required

 Education: Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources, International Business, Business Administration, or related equivalent experience in the human resources field.Substantial operations experience may substitute for the above education requirement.

Professional Experience Desired: Minimum of 3 years recruiting experience with at least 3-5 years experience in drilling or oil field operations. Prefer human resources or recruiting experience in a foreign jurisdiction with ability to effectively establish verbal communications with foreign applicants.  Working knowledge and/ or experience of the offshore drilling industry with understanding of job descriptions and requirements of rig positions.Excellent customer service and presentation skills are needed. Excellent communications and organization skills including ability to successfully function within a multi-task environment. Proficiency in common Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.Ability to speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese is essential.
