Land Development Project Manager

McBride & Son Homes, Inc. is the largest builder in the St. Louis region.  The company is employee owned and has been in business for over 60 years.  The company offers full benefits with 401(k) and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).  We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Land Development Project Manager.

 

Overview of Position and Responsibilities: 

 

The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing all necessary resources throughout the development of a residential subdivision.  Responsibilities begin with assisting the Land Acquisition team with placing a tract of land under contract and end with the transfer of property to the home building company.  The Project Manager is held accountable for completing jobs on time, within budgets and at targeted quality levels.  Other responsibilities will include managing and controlling designs, zoning presentations, budgets, cash flow, permitting, bid evaluation, escrow and bond releases, construction and scheduling.  The position may include supervision of Superintendent and/or Assistant Project Managers.

 

The preferred qualifications for the candidate are as follows:

 

A 4-year degree in civil engineering or construction management is highly desired.

 

Minimum of three (3) years experience in all aspects of horizontal construction, including, but not limited to extensive technical expertise in engineering, cost estimating, scheduling and construction management.

 

Working knowledge of financial proformas and land development's role in effecting proforma results.

 

Ability to communicate effectively with a team of highly skilled and technically trained consultants and contractors.

 

Ability to effectively work in a team environment.

 

Ability to communicate effectively with governmental and quasi governmental agencies.

 

Ability to communicate with regulatory agency in a manner that positively represents company interests.

 

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Project

applications.
