Responsibilities

 

Lead Journeyman ElectriciansLead mid- to large-scale commercial or multi-unit residential projects.Lead custom-home and remodel projects.Plan, organize and execute job activities and develop accurate bills of materials for purchasing.Assist Project Manager on project plan reviews and change order management.Act as company-liaison to general contractor and owner.Handle on-site project administrative duties.

 

Journeyman ElectriciansAssist lead journeymen on installation of standard building electrical systems including power distribution, general power and equipment, lighting, fire/security systems, and other low voltage systems.Operate light excavation machinery for installation of electrical systems and equipment.Supervise and train (on the job) up to three apprentice electricians on the installation of standard electrical systems and equipment.

 

Requirements

 Must be a licensed journeyman in the state of Colorado.Minimum of three years of journeyman experience on commercial and residential projects.  Lead journeymen must have a minimum of 2 additional years acting in a lead capacity.Management (lead) experience must include managing crews on substantial (multi-month) commercial, industrial or multi-unit residential projectsMust possess a thorough knowledge of and ability to apply the National Electrical Code.Must possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of standard electrical systems and equipment, including distribution equipment, conduit installation, wiring, fixture and device installation, grounding requirements, etc.Must have a thorough ability to read and understand construction plans, including architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical plan sets.Must have excellent written, verbal and customer relationship skills and be computer literate.Must be well-organized, goal and detail oriented; highly responsible and reliable.Must be able to profitably manage project labor, materials and equipment and strive to constantly improve the company?s bottom line on every project.Must have own standard hand tools and own transportation.Must have valid Driver?s License and clean motor vehicle record.Must be able to pass extensive background check and drug testing.
