Logistics Dispatcher

CEMEX is a world leader in the production, distribution, marketing and sales of cement and concrete, and aggregates. WE currently have an opening for a Logistics Dipatcher.

 

Scheduling and dispatching cement and flyash deliveries to customers and transfers between plants and terminals

Dispatching the private and dedicated fleets and their drivers, as well as management of outside carriers to supplement dedicated fleet

Optimizing the use of transportation resources within our dedicated fleets

Ensuring on-time delivery performance and meeting customer specifications and  expectations

Inputting and tracking ancillary charges related to deliveries

Working with carriers to resolve driver problems and delivery service issues Transportation software management

Ensure compliance with DOT rules and regulations

Prior dispatching/logistics experience working with/for trucking companies

Proficient at Microsoft Office (especially data analysis with Excel)

Typing and data entry proficiency

Strong analytical, problem-solving, & communication skills; sound judgment and good organizational skills

Transportation Management software experience a plus

2 years minimum dispatching experience in logistics/transportation industry preferred

High School diploma required
