Background

Opportunity at the Reagan Test Site (RTS) located in the exotic and tropical island of Kwajalein in the Republic of Marshall Islands.  Reagan Test Site (RTS) complex includes a variety of radar, telemetry, and other instrumentation and communication systems.  This location is a beautiful, tropical setting in the central Pacific that offers year-round water sports and many other recreational activities. Manager Kwajalein Operations (Public Works)
(Full Time/ Accompanied)

 

Responsibilities: Manages the day to day operations of Kwajalein Operations and Maintenance Department consisting of multiple functions including all facilities maintenance of real property (PM CM and Emergency Service Order), Construction, Heavy Equipment Operations, Roads and Ground Services, Solid Waste/Landfill Management, Pest and Vector Control Management, Custodial Services, and Housing Services. Responsible for effective execution of the contract Performance Work Statement (PWS) within Kwajalein Operations areas of responsibility via quality assurance plans (the measuring tool used by the customer USArmy in rating departmental performance. Specific Responsibilities include; Provide leadership and work with department supervisors and their assigned staff, establish performance requirements and personal development targets, regularly monitors performance and provides coaching for performance improvement and development; makes decisions on compensation, and other rewards to recognize performance; takes disciplinary action up to and including termination to address performance deficiencies in accordance with company policies; prepares department annual labor and material budget and monitoring expenditures and revenues; works closely with Human Resources to ensure all open positions are filled with qualified candidates; plan, administer, promote, and enforce an ongoing environmental safety and health program to ensure safe healthy working conditions in accordance with all Company and local policies, OSHA, Federal and State laws; Work is performed in both an office and job site (including local/remote outer island locations) environment, flexible to attend meetings during non-business hours, respond to emergency situations and meet managerial goals and objectives. Perform other duties as required.

 

Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor degree desired in Construction Facilities Maintenance/(CFM). Must have 8 years minimum, (prefer 10 years) of experience within Construction Maintenance or Facilities Engineering including 5 years of progressively responsible managerial experience. Desire strong understanding of Public Works in construction maintenance/facilities engineering setting. Prefer experience with government facilities maintenance and/or contract work. Must possess good communication skills both written and verbal along with good computer skills.
