JOB DESCRIPTION   Job Title:   Concrete Superintendent


Reports To:  Concrete Area Manager


Supervises EE’s:    Yes


 


JOB SUMMARY:  Manage and coordinate all activities on one job site to ensure that all concrete activities are completed as scheduled and walked for quality.  Supervise all foremen within that tract.  Monitor tract equipment and supplies to ensure the needed equipment is where required.  Review daily material schedule to ensure that all perimeter, forms, PT cables, hardware, etc. will be delivered as dictated by the concrete schedule.  Forecast the need for crews to ensure that staffing matches the concrete schedule. 


 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 


 


Maintain schedule for all tracts under your responsibility:

Maintain all paperwork needed for jobsite foreman and concrete employees:

Maintain a supers set of redline blueprints (these are for your use only)

Walk Pre-slabs daily as needed, turn in these walk sheets once a week to your Area Managers.

Schedule of each house and identify potential conflicts and provide solutions.

Confirm options for each house.  If new changes are received, obtain copies of options for Concrete Department records.

Confirm office has copies of all paperwork received in the field.

Review all back-charges, with Area Manager, before work proceeds and verify they are legitimate

Confirm pricing is correct make any necessary adjustments

Confirm that safety rules are being followed and perform the required amount of Safety surveys each week.

Confirm each foreman’s payroll.

Use the Area Manager as your contact to and from the office.


 


Scope: 


Contributes through obtaining complete paperwork from Area Manager. Must resolve crew needs & issues daily and maintain quality assurance sheets and payroll for each lot.  Confirms that subordinates are following all company safety rules on each area of supervision. Inspects company trucks and equipment to ensure safety compliance.


 


 


Qualifications:


·  Minimum of four years residential concrete construction experience.


·  General knowledge of the building process and detailed knowledge of all aspects of the plumbing process.


·  Able to read and interpret blue prints. 


·  Must possess good verbal and writing abilities.


·  Must possess a valid Driver License.


·  Must successfully pass a drug screen prior to becoming and eligible driver of company vehicles, if applicable.


 


FLSA:  Exempt


Must be Proficient in all aspects of offsite concrete, structural, formwork, production curb & gutter and attention to detail a must.  Minimum  3 years at Management level
