Manager of Bridges

Description:
Determines Bridge maintenance and construction requirements on assigned territory. Plans and controls all work performed by Bridge forces on Division. Implements Safety Policies and is responsible for the safety of all employees on assigned Division. Helps to inspect Bridges and culverts on territory and performs annual inventory. Under direction of the Division Engineer, develops routine maintenance plans as well as long range planning to include requirements for manpower, materials, and equipment, logistics and labor agreements. Qualifications:
Experience in bridge inspection, Bridge Maintenance, construction methods, and procedures, equipment capabilities, performance characteristics of materials, the ability to understand design drawings, blueprints and specifications. A complete knowledge of safe job procedures and safety equipment for working at heights. A detailed knowledge of labor agreements covering Bridge personnel. Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent of 4 years experience in Bridge Maintenance and construction experience; plus a demonstrated degree of observation and decision making ability.
