DIVISION OPERATIONS MANAGER ? EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION SERVICES ?Hudson, Wisconsin

 

SUMMARY

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects (environmental remediation, demolition and clean up, emergency response) to ensure that goals or objectives of project(s) are accomplished on time and within the prescribed budget by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

 

Must be available 24/7/365 ? Frequent travel required.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Manages emergency response environmental services team which requires availability to deploy to customer sites for emergencies 24/7/365

-Assists in developing, implementing, and administering site safety plans.

-Manages and supervises work on job sites in a safe and efficient manner.

-Assigns and monitors all work being performed by Company personnel and subcontractors.

-Assists Senior Directors of Operations and Senior Division Managers and other individuals with preparation of bids and proposals.

-Assists Senior Division Manager and Division Managers in procurement of labor, equipment, materials and subcontractors for projects.

-Ensures that equipment is maintained to published standards.

-Assists with recruiting and training employees.

-Updates Customer Service and others about projects in a timely manner. 

-Assists with expanding and increasing sales.

-Requires extensive contact with customers, prospective customers and field operations

staff and regular contact with general office staff and outside professional relationships.

-Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.

-Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies, schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.

-Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

-Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree preferred; five years or more related experience in hazardous materials/waste industry; three of which must be of project manager status or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

HAZMAT, TTCI Tank Car Course, CPR, first-aid, Industrial Safety Management
