Operations Manager, Electronic

SimplexGrinnell is a global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of a comprehensive array of networked and integrated fire alarm, automatic sprinkler, fire suppression, security, and communications systems.  Our continued success and growth has produced a need for an Alarm & Detection Operations Manager in our Sacramento, CA office.

SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for providing vision, leadership, and direction to the Alarm & Detection Department, and for implementing action plans to meet Corporate objectives.


ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the electronic systems delivery process from order receipt to project completion.

 

Manage the Construction, Engineering and Project Managers for the Alarm & Detection Contracts Dept.

 

Maximize electrical project margins and minimize customer issues.

 

Perform billing & costing on projects.

 

Manage project and department heads to assure a consistent delivery.

 

Manage employees and subcontractors to ensure professional, timely and cost-effective installation processes.

 

Maintain project paperwork to include contracts, revisions, estimates, work drawings and specifications.

Interface with both internal and external customers and employees to schedule and manage the project from pre-construction through completion.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education: Some college, preferably in a business or engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years? experience in an integrated systems sales/service environment
Special Skills: Demonstrated management/leadership abilities to include training, team building, presentation and negotiation skills, branch administration, and effective interaction with customer/company management.
