Job Title: PROJECT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT

 Construction Jobsite - Seattle, WA

 



 



DUTIES:  Provides general secretarial and administrative support to Project Managers and Superintendents at the 1521 Second Avenue Tower job site in Seattle, WA.  This is a temporary, project-specific position with an anticipated duration of approximately 30 months.  Continued employment is possible, depending on company volume and performance.

 

? Manages site office administration

? Answers phone

? Types correspondence, reports, and miscellaneous routine documents

? Utilizes word processing and spreadsheet software

? Processes shop drawings and blueprints

? Processes subcontractor contracts, riders, and change orders

? Organizes and maintains records and record keeping systems

? Collects, organizes, and presents information in proper format for review and action by supervisor or others, as requested

? Opens, date-stamps, and distributes mail for area of responsibility

? Performs receptionist duties as needed

? Makes transportation and lodging arrangements as needed for business travel

? Performs duplication and printing tasks as required

? Assists with managing supervisor?s schedules and contacts

? Arranges group meetings and group events, including food and refreshment orders, as requested

? Assists subcontractors in obtaining bid documents, project drawings, and specifications

? Assists with preparation of bid documents

? Performs other miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned



QUALIFICATIONS:

? High school diploma or equivalent, plus additional business college courses

? Minimum of 3 years? secretarial and/or administrative experience in a construction atmosphere

?Ability to operate PC and standard word processing and spreadsheet software, preferably MS Word and Excel; accurate typing skills of 60 wpm

? Excellent business English skills (grammar, punctuation, and spelling), numerical aptitude, and strong secretarial skills

? Pleasant phone manner and ability to work independently

? Courteous and effective interpersonal skills, with ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous assignments for group members and work under tight deadlines

? Ability to handle confidential matters in an appropriate manner

? Ability to lift and prepare for mailing construction plans weighing up to 25 lbs.
