PROJECT SCHEDULER

Vanguard Contractors, Inc. (VCI) is a general contractor based in Paducah, Kentucky. VCI is a subsidiary of Harper Industries Inc, which is a holding company for several companies. We work on various DOD projects all over the United States. VCI has extensive experience in design/build, project management, in-house general contracting services, and contract maintenance and repair.

 

Due to continued growth, Vanguard Contractors, Inc has an immediate opening for a Project Scheduler for a permanent position located John C Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. 

 

Vanguard Contractors? Scheduler, in conjunction with Project Manager, must be able to develop and maintain a NAS consisting of at least the following items, to support our projects at the John C Stennis Space Center, Mississippi: 

 

? Set the project start date.

? Set the project completion date.

? Set project calendar(s).

? Establish activity codes for adequate sorting capabilities.

? Determine the scope of the project in terms of the phases of work for the project.

? Identify the interim milestones or other critical dates that must be met.

? List tasks by project phase, in the order in which they should be accomplished.

? Obtain input from Subcontractors/Suppliers required to accomplish each task.

? Determine the resources required to accomplish each task.

? Set estimated durations and costs for each task.

? Determine task predecessor-successor relations and dependencies.

o  Which tasks can be performed in parallel.

o  Which tasks require the completion of other tasks before they can start.

? Establish baseline (target) schedule for future comparisons.

? Update monthly, or as required by contract or project.

 

 

 Experience preferred includes the following: 

?Minimum of 5 years construction scheduling experience with NAS/CPM systemKnowledge of Primavera P3Familiarity and experience with the USACE RMS system preferred.Government and Military scheduling experience Design build schedulingProject Scope Development ExperienceTeam player and Self Starter

 

 

Education Requirement: The successful candidate should have sufficient work related experience in the construction industry. A BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred, although not required.
