Parts Sales Team Leader

Position Description:

The Parts Store Team Leader is responsible for the successful management and leadership of the Damuth Trane Parts Center. To provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers by meeting customer needs and commitments through processing customer orders and responding to customer inquiries, questions and complaints regarding the Parts Department services. Seek remedies to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Also responsible for vendor sales, inventory, purchasing, pricing, and warranty administration.

Essential Job Functions:Maintain constant awareness of markets, trends, new products and competitor activities. Set work and schedule priorities for store associates. Supervise inside & outside parts associates, warehouse and admin associates. Evaluate stock levels, enter RO/ERO orders, responsible for warranty transactions. Conduct market pricing and product needs analysis. Conduct sales of HVAC parts, equipment, and supplies over the phone and over the counter. Answer customer calls, identify needs and provide solutions. Actively make customers aware of product promotions. Load and unload shipment of parts, supplies, and equipment as needed. Receive and process customer orders. Report any inventory discrepancies to the administration team.Possess knowledge of the Trane and other vendor lines that are carried in our locations to be able to demonstrate and discuss with customers.Follow up, either verbally or in writing, open quotes, open will calls and customer inquiries. Determine best method to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and company adherence to policies. Provide proactive salesmanship skills in terms of add-on sales to customers. Assist outside Salespeople with processing orders generated in the field.Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.Know the vendors serving the Company and the products they provide so you can provide quick response when parts are needed.

Education & Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredAssociates Degree and 5 to 7 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Skills:Excellent customer service skillsExcellent communication skillsStrong organizational skills Strong computer skills a mustWorking knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel and Outlook Experience with order entry and inventory management software a plusKnowledge of VersysS, Pride, Cats, Falcon a plus. HVAC general wholesale experience a plus Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, field technicians, and supervisors.
