Pipe Superintendent

Assists project management in the supervision of foremen and employees responsible for installation of underground pipe systems
(i.e. water lines, underground sewer system, etc.)

*Examines project drawings and specifications to determine labor, equipment and materials required for various work tasks.
*Schedules crews according to the size and complexity of tasks and instructs foremen and/or employees regarding desired labor methods, equipment and materials necessary to complete the project.
*Conduct regular ihspections of craft work and serves to advise foremen and/or employees regarding work progress and quality of work. Ensures all work is within project specifications. Schedules future work and expedites necessary materials and equipment.
*Reviews work activities with project management, client/owner representatives, inspectors, etc... informing them of progress and addresses problem areas and suggests posssible solutions.
*Maintains accurate productiion records to assist project management in analyzing project progress and cost.
*Assists project engineering staff in selecting and procuring necessary materials.
*Monitors work areas for possible safety hazards
*Conducts regular safety meetings addresing specific work areas and conditions requiring safety attention and stersses compliance wtih Company and regulatory safety procedures.
*Coordinates with mechanics to monitor abnormal equipment wear and/or performance to assist in anticipating future repair requirements.

Prefer experience in petrochem industry. Position requires excellent computer skills. Must be proficient on MS Office, P3, database experience (Oracle, Access, Foxpro, SQL, etc.. Programming skills a plus.
Position will be located in home office, San Antonio, TX.
