Power Plant Project Engineer

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer for our Power Plant. The primary function of the position is to oversee the capital construction projects for the corporation. These projects presently include the following: 40MW Co-generation project, upgrade of existing Worthington Chillers and building control systems, replacement of existing building 480 volt electrical feeders and ejector pump systems. The selected candidate will also be responsible for ensuring all City and State permits and licenses are current and in good standing order. This includes reviewing all invoices for payment, and filing quarterly, semi annual and annual reports. The secondary responsibility is to assist the Director of the Power Plant in the day to day operation of the Plant. Included in these responsibilities is handling job assignments to staff, payroll, purchase orders, and supervision of Plant staff.

 

Candidate will have 10 years of progressive supervisory skills in construction and operation of Heating and Chiller plants. Experience with Co-generation plants a plus.

 

Degree in Engineering and or High Pressure steam license from NY City and unlimited Tonnage Refrigeration license from the NYFD.
