Prefab Support - Core Driller
I. Summary:
? The primary responsibility of the Prefab Support - Core Drill Service Specialist is to perform the duties of a Prefab Support Specialist, providing prefabricated materials to all construction projects in the most efficient manner possible while ensuring that all material, tool, and equipment movement is properly authorized and documented. This position will perform various task that support our construction projects that include prepping and shipping tools, building wood frames for electrical panels, building wood shelving and steps for use in our construction trailers, painting construction trailers, precutting wire that will be installed on jobsites, prepping trucks and equipment for jobsite use, shipping and receiving material as well as many other task associated with supporting the activities of our installation crews. This position will also spend limited time on construction sites operating our core drilling equipment, cutting holes in concrete floors and walls, allowing for the installation of conduit by the electricians.
II. Position Specific Responsibilities:
? Provide Prefab Support Services in a neat and workmanlike manner as directed.
? Maintain cleanliness of prefab work area.
? Provide core drilling and saw-cutting services in a neat and workmanlike manner as directed.
? Maintain all core drilling and saw-cutting equipment in a job ready condition.
? Help maintain a preventive maintenance program for the core drilling vehicle, ensuring that fluid levels are checked and logged on a daily basis and that vehicle is left clean, presentable and in good working order.
? Assist as directed in the process of cutting and paralleling feeder cables.
? Maintain the cleanliness of the wire cutting and storage area.
? Assist as directed in the record keeping of stock material and wire records
? When required, assist in the delivery of material and tools to the job sites.
? When required, pick up materials and tools from jobsite and/or supply houses as directed.
? When required, assist in the unloading of delivery vehicles.
? Ensure that all incoming materials are stored in the proper locations.
? Ensure that all work orders are checked for accuracy.
? Process all paperwork related to prefab and core drilling projects, deliveries, pick-ups and returns in an accurate, timely manner.
? Perform physical inventories as required.
III. General Responsibilities
? Participate fully in all Corporate and other training as required.
? Possess and maintain a clean drivers record.
? Be able to participate in and pass a random drug testing program at all times.
? Assume additional tasks that are assigned by the Manager or which are logically inherent to this position.
? Work with manager to Identify "critical path activities" of this position and, when directed, prepare documentation of the major processes required to accomplish these activities and submit to manager for final approval. Once approved, insure that other staff members, as identified by manager, understand the process and can provide adequate back-up for these "critical path" activities. Review documentation on an annual basis and make necessary adjustments to reflect current processes.
? Communicate information to the Service Support Center Manager and other managers as appropriate to allow all parties to have a full understanding of overall corporate operations.
? Ensure that all duties of this position and those of staff members, are carried out in compliance with ERMCO?s stated mission, vision, values, safety standards, and company policies and procedures.
? Be willing to work whatever hours are necessary to ensure that job duties are performed completely and accurately.
IV. Desired Education and / or Experience Level:
? High School diploma.
? Minimum 1 year experience in a related woodworking or construction field.
Beyond the desired education level listed above, this position requires 16 clock hours of continuing education per year in an area directly related to this position. These hours, courses, training or certifications are to be approved by the employee?s department manager before attending classes in order to be accepted under this plan.
V. Desired Qualifications:
? CDL License (Class B minimum)
? Scaffold and lift certification.
? Fork truck certification.
? OSHA 10 Hour Training
? First Aid / CPR Certified

VII. Job Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb a ladder or steps. The employee is also required to regularly drive a vehicle, or specific construction equipment. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception, as is also required for operation of a vehicle, or equipment. While this position is primarily internally based, candidates must be able to maneuver and manipulate in a construction atmosphere without jeopardizing their own safety or that of others.
