An expanding Construction company in East Houston is currently interviewing for the following immediate open positions:
POSITION: PRODUCTION/FABRICATION MANAGER
SALARY RANGE: $60-100K (Commensurate with Experience)
The Ideal Candidate must have a very strong background in the steel plate fabrication industry and extensive experience with new project developments and production forecasting/scheduling. This individual shall also possess a full understanding and utilization of financial metrics for cost tracking, planning and identifying key costs and improvements.Qualified individuals must be assertive and possess excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Effective communication with employees and/or clients to solve problems, ensuring that all production demands are met on time, with accuracy and high quality standards is a must. Must have 5-7 Yrs. Experience of Production/Operation Management for Manufacturing and/or Fabrication Facilities specializing in Storage Tanks, Towers and/or Pressure Vessels; Bachelors Degree in Engineering or associated field; Familiarity and Understanding of API-650, API 620, AWWA and ASME codes and associated standards; Understanding of all safety rules and regulations; Experience and working knowledge of ISO 9000 certification and six sigma quality systems; Organized training of shop personnel; Experience working with ProNest (CNC Programming System) Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Access; Must be well-organized with respect to formalities, jobs costs, employee evaluations and company equipment
POSITION: ESTIMATOR
SALARY RANGE: $40 ? $52K (Commensurate with Experience)
The ideal candidate must have excellent mathematical skills, organizational skills and communication skills to insure timely and accurate estimates of new tankage and tank repairs; Must have a thorough knowledge of standards for estimating steel plate vessels and tanks; Must be able to inquire on all material from qualified material suppliers [i.e. plate, structural weld rod, etc.]; Must be able to prepare estimates that reflect the customer requirements and PTC marketing strategy; Must be able to establish standards for new product lines [i.e. cryogenic, grid roofs, stacks, vessel, specialty products] Must work on improving existing estimating standards and system Must be very thorough and accurate and turn out complete, correct estimates within allotted time Must be able to breakout costs as required for proposals Must be able to make job site visits as required to investigate and keep abreast of field conditions and changing field operations; Must create estimates for change orders, alternate designs and cost comparisons; Must have 5-10 Years Experience of Estimating Construction of Tanks and/or Vessels Extensive Computer experience with Word, Excel, & Timberline preferred Must be Very Detailed Oriented Must be Very Organized Some College Education is a Must
POSITION: ENGINEER/ENGINEERING MGR
SALARY RANGE: $45-60K (Commensurate with Experience)
The Ideal Candidate must have a very strong background in the Architectural Drafting and Design of Above-Ground Storage Tanks, Tank Repairs and/or Vessels for the Petrochemical & Refinery Industry. Must have 5-7 Yrs. Experience of Design Engineering/Engineering Management for Manufacturing and/or Fabrication Facilities specializing in Storage Tanks, Towers and/or Pressure Vessels. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, with major course work in engineering or a related field, is required. Knowledge of engineering principles, techniques and procedures and of higher mathematics; drafting principles, techniques, and procedures and building construction methods and components is required. Skill in the use of computer-aided design techniques is required. The ability to draft plans and drawings; to interpret field notes, sketches, plans or specifications, design details, or specifications for accuracy is required. Ability to supervise and train others is required.
POSITION: AUTOCAD DETAILERS
SALARY RANGE: $32 - $52K (Commensurate with Experience)
The ideal candidates must have extensive experience in the architectural drafting and design of above-ground storage tanks, tank repairs and/or vessels. These candidates must be exceptionally detail-oriented and skilled in problem-solving, multi-tasking, and possess above-average organizational skills as this position requires the detailer to check for accuracy and produce drawings, sketches, specifications, and other technical output that complies with client requirements, specifications, company policy and standards, and other applicable codes and standards. Must be able to perform moderately complex drafting work; Must be able to handle work that involves production and detailing plans and structures manually or with a computer, calculating material quantities, preparing specifications and checking notes, computations, and estimates; Must be able to train other co-workers; Must work well under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Must have 6-10 years experience in drafting work or 4 years drafting work in the tank industry. High school graduate or equivalent. The ability to draft plans and drawings; to interpret field notes, sketches, plans or specifications; to make mathematical calculations; and to check drawings, computations, plans, design details, or specifications for accuracy is required.
POSITION: FIELD TIMEKEEPING OFFICE MANAGER JOB LOCATION: TEXAS CITY
HOURS: 6:30 A.M. ? 5:00 P.M. M-F
SALARY RANGE: $36 ? $42K (Commensurate with Experience)
The ideal candidate must have excellent mathematical skills, organizational skills and communication skills. The ideal candidate must also be exceptionally detail-oriented and skilled in problem-solving and multi-tasking as he/she will be responsible for double checking timesheets in customers CTS system and double checking for errors in CTS system. This candidate will also be responsible for making sure invoicing gets out on the 15th and 31st of every month; Submitting cost reports to customer every Tuesday by 2:00 pm; Submitting monthly hour reports to customer at the end of every month; Double checking invoices with proper work order numbers; Keeping track of the invoices sent out and the date they were paid (processing "Aging Reports"); Keeping the progress reports up to date (keeps track of the hours spent, tasks complete, material need dates and percent complete) and submitting them to Project Mgr every Monday morning; Helping with close out packages, which involves scanning documents and creating binders; Maintaining current up-to-date sets of drawings with revisions in the office; Keeping trays filled with documents; Organizing the office folders; Getting the mail from the PO Box; Attaching receivers to each invoice and making copies; and Getting supplies from Office Max. The main goal is to be the Office Manager and make sure everything runs smoothly. Must have 5-10 years experience in Field Office Mgt with minimum 5 years experience in accounting field. Some college courses preferred. Must have excellent computer skills.
POSITION: HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (BILINGUAL REQUIRED)
SALARY RANGE: $27-32K (Commensurate with Experience)
The Ideal Candidate must have a strong background in the Human Resources Field and Construction Industry and must have a front-office appearance. Must have Excellent Communication Skills (Written & Verbal), organizational skills, thorough, neat and must be exceptionally detail-oriented. This individual must also be skilled in problem-solving and multi-tasking as he/she will be responsible for meeting and greeting new applicants/visitors; answer and screen phone calls; hand out and review appropriate applications for completion; screen applicants for basic requirements; schedule interviews; process new hire packets and review them for completion; process I-9?s; administer/set-up in-house drug testing for new hires; extensive filing; set up new and term files accordingly; extensive data entry; schedule initial safety training & orientation; maintain stock of H.R. & Safety Dept. forms; maintain stock of copy room & coffee supplies; other duties as assigned. Must have 1-2 Yrs. Experience in Human Resources Field. High School Diploma and/or Equivalent; Knowledge of human resources principles, techniques and procedures. Excellent Computer Skills are a Must (Microsoft Office Suite).
